Tom Hanks came from humble beginnings.
His parents divorced as he was growing up and he was forced to travel around a lot as a kid. He moved from school to school and had a rough time fitting in. He claims that his teachers and peers didn’t really understand him and that he was a bit of an outcast.
“I was a geek, a spaz. I was horribly, painfully, terribly shy. At the same time, I was the guy who’d yell out funny captions during filmstrips. But I didn’t get into trouble. I was always a real good kid and pretty responsible,” Hanks said.
Hanks decided to take on acting and realized that he had finally found what he is good at! He blossomed into a brilliant actor and has become an amazing star! Tom was even asked if God was real to which he responded: “I think you’ll be foolish not to believe in God.”
