God made us in his own image and that is why each one of us is special. And, we all want to look beautiful and presentable in the best way possible. This has led to a boom in the cosmetics and surgery industry where people have lined up to get a makeover. The word “makeover” itself has become something of a layman’s lingo. Everyone, at least once in his/her lifetime, changes their appearance to look completely different. It could be a new haircut, a new outfit, weight loss/gain, or surgical enhancements. Therefore, it wasn’t a surprise when Chicago police officer, Deborah, underwent a makeover after being persuaded by her sister, Sandy, to do so. Her complete transformation took everyone on The Oprah Winfrey Show by surprise and she looked decades younger than she was.

Deborah, a hard-working Chicago police officer had been using the same fashion tips since the ‘70s. She was stuck on bleached white hair, heavy black eyeliner, white and blue frosted eyeshadow, and clothes that were once considered stylish in the ‘70s and ‘80s. She claimed it made her express herself and also made her look bold and intimidating. But her Sandy argued otherwise. She felt a softer look would suit her sister more and therefore begged her to try a more natural look. Deborah also said that she wore pantyhose under her blue jeans. In the approximately two-and-a-half-minute video, Oprah, with the help of some talented stylists give a makeover to Deborah. And when she walks down the aisle revealing her new form, the audience is stunned. They erupt in joy and wonder at the sight of the young lady in front of them. Even Sandy can’t believe it’s her sister Deborah. Oprah introduces Deborah by saying, “You’re not gonna believe this” and the rest, as they say, is history. Oprah has done some pretty amazing stuff on her show but this one definitely takes the cake.
